We are a small, independent press dedicated to producing dark, twisty tales of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. From futuristic metropolises to quasi-magical realms, our stories are crafted by (and for) those who relish in complex characters, rich worlds, and experimental structures. Here at Ink Forest, we enjoy thematic, emotional, and structural mashups joining disparate elements into heartfelt larger-than-life adventures. We embrace the strange and bitter-sweet, believing that oddity and joy are often the best armor against despair.

Some of our favorite tropes include: space pirates, sentient ships, virtual realities, buried civilizations, carnivorous plants, legendary swords, mythical monsters, false prophets, faked deaths, and nebulous morality.
